The Bob Guenzel Capacity Building Fund
In January 2025 The Ark established a Capacity Building Fund in honor of Bob Guenzel, whose leadership emphasized thoughtful planning, adaptability, and investing in the organization’s long-term health. In that same spirit, the Bob Guenzel Fund provides flexible resources that allow The Ark to respond to opportunities and challenges that will shape its future. The fund supports strategic investments in programming, audience development, organizational infrastructure, and technology—key areas that strengthen The Ark’s ability to fulfill its mission and serve the community. To date, over 100 individuals, along with The Ark’s remarkable volunteers, have contributed over $300,000 to the Bob Guenzel Fund.

Gifts to The Ark in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion are welcome at any time. Memorial and honorary contributions can be made by calling The Ark’s business office at (734) 761-1800 or online by clicking on the button below. When donating online, please include information on the person/occasion you are honoring and to whom you’d like an acknowledgment of your gift sent in the “special instructions” area during the checkout procedure.
The Ark Endowment
The Ark has an endowment fund through the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. Gifts to The Ark Endowment Fund are made directly to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, which holds and invests the assets for The Ark. The Fund is an important long-range funding tool for The Ark and provides Ark donors with valuable planned giving options and tax benefits.
